Jerrie Fae Strength Barberee, 75 of Bryan and formerly of Spring Hill, Texas passed away on May 30, 2021 in College Station, Texas.

Jerrie was born on July 5, 1945 to Dewey (D.H.) and Nancy (Reep) Strength in Kilgore, Texas. She had three sisters Della, Deloras and Edith and two half sisters Virginia Lee and Glora Jean. She attended school in Spring Hill, Texas where she graduated in 1963. She was previously married to Jerry Barberee and had two children Gina Barberee Latham and Jerry Barberee Jr. (Bubba).

She is survived by her sisters Della Rocap of Lubbock and Dee Phipps of Lago Vista; daughter Gina Latham and husband Bill Latham of College Station and son Jerry Barberee of Maud, Texas; her Grandchildren, Jeremy Latham of Anderson; Nicole Latham of College Station; Tasha Barberee of New Boston; Stephanie Perez and her husband Daniel Perez of Bryan; and Jason Barberee and his wife Bethany of Mesquite. She was a great-grandmother to 10 children. She is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her father and mother; sister Edith Jones and half-sister’s Virginia Lee Strength and Gloria Jean Gill and great-grandson Jason Barberee Jr.

She enjoyed reading, painting, fishing and spending time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She also enjoyed music by Willie Nelson.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 12 th at 2pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in College Station.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hospice Brazos Valley.
