James Elvis Spikes (Jim) was born on August 4, 1945 and passed on September 6, 2023 at the age of 78.
He was a military veteran and retired from the TDCJ. He loved working on cars, fishing, hunting,
traveling (especially on backroads), reading western books, playing 42 and basically anything to do
outside in the yard. He was always willing to help you or a stranger out if needed. Had a great sense of
humor and directness (you always knew where you stood with him).
He was preceded in death by his wife Lonna Spikes. He is survived by his two daughters, 5 grandkids, 6 great
grandkids, 3 siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service is at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee TX on October 14, 2023 @ 11am
