James Phillip Morris Jr. age 65 passed away January 18, 2024 after a short illness. Services for Phillip will be held Saturday January 27, 2024 at Macy Memorial Chapel 21293 Bundick Rd. Hearne, Tx.

Phillip was born October 24, 1958 to James Phillip Morris and Bonnie Lee Clifton. He is preceded in death by his parents, cousin Jerry Meyers as well as many others. Throughout his life Phillip traveled many places. Many of his careers revolved around his love of cars, which ultimately led to the creation of Morris Racing where he took a lot of pride in racing his 1987 Buick Grand National for years. He inherited an amazing talent for drawing from his mother, and love of poker from his father. Phillip loved the Dallas Cowboys and developed a healthy competition between his beloved Aggies and his son's love of LSU. Phillip enjoyed fishing, and hunting with his brother, sister and father. He had a built-in best friend in his Aunt Carol. He beamed with pride when it came to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Phillip is survived by his girlfriend Pam Vickrey, his children Shawna Leonard husband James; Dallyce Sims husband Corey; Sebo May and wife Katie; honorary daughter Jennifer Steward. Brother James Morris wife Kelly; sister Kimberly Thomas; two nephews Justin Shannon and James Morris Jr a niece Kayla Anderson, a great niece Dakota Anderson and great nephew Denver Anderson. Six grandchildren Taylor, Jami, and Dillon Leonard; Corbyn Sims; Kylynn and Beaux May honorary grandchildren Jordan Sigler, and Malia Steward. Three great grandchildren Josh and Ben Bomnskie; Stoney Boyd. Numerous Aunts Uncles and Cousins. Phillip led an adventurous life and loved his family.  Please join us as we celebrate him with service at the church and gathering to follow at Edge Community Center in Edge Texas.
