James C. Johnson

James C. Johnson, 78, of Iola, TX passed away Monday, January 30, 2023.  Funeral Services are set for 11 AM Monday, February 13 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Mark Thompson will officiate and burial will follow to Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, February 12 also at Trevino-Smith.

Born November 11, 1944, in Houston, TX, he was the son of Jim Ellis Johnson and Geraldine Reeves. He enjoyed golfing, antique cars, and he loved to fish. James was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

His parents, Jim and Geraldine; a son, Charles Larry Johnson; a brother; and three sisters; precede him in death.

James leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 38 years, Kuri Franks Johnson; two sons, John Derrick Franks, and James Dillon Johnson and wife Caitlyn; three daughters, Lisa and husband Bobby Smith, Lori Johnson and husband Jeff Andrews, and Alyshia Ingram and husband Scott Busby; one brother, Pat Faulkner; 18 loving grandchildren; and 15 precious great-grandchildren.
