Irene Verzoza

October 20, 1945 – January 29, 2022

         Irene Verzoza, 76, of Bryan passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. A Rosary service is set for 6 pm on Friday, February 4 in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home. Visitation is set for 5-8 PM also Friday, February 4, at the Funeral Home.

         Born October 20, 1945, in San Antonio, TX she was the daughter of Pifanio and Genoveva (Coronado) Ramirez. Irene was very active and loved cooking for everyone. She enjoyed cleaning and remodeling. In her free time, she would work in her garden and listen to music. She loved to get out and especially go shopping.

         Her parents; one brother, Jesus Ramirez, and one sister Grace Ramirez precede her in death.

         Irene leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 40 years, Esteban Verzoza; one son, Ramiro Mendoza Jr. and wife Gracie Valdemar; three daughters, Olivia and husband Richard Gomez, Rosalinda and husband Manuel Martinez Jr., and Valerie Mendoza; two brothers Jose Lucero and wife Elba,  Silverio Vasquez and wife Esther; three sisters Carmen Rodriguez, Margo and husband Blas Hernandez, Lydia and husband  Jose Selvera; ten grandchildren and twelve precious great-grandchildren.
