       Hilda Minnie Carter, 87, of Bryan passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018. A Graveside Service is set for 11AM Saturday, May 26 in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. A Visitation will be Friday, May 25 from 5-8PM in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

       Born March 5, 1931 in Bryan she was the daughter of Rino F. and Minnie (Frank) Liskey. Hilda loved her Chihuahua and riding horses. She enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be missed by all who knew her.

       She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Carter one brother, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.

       Hilda leaves behind to cherish her memories, four sons, Charles and wife Almeta Carter, Willie Carter Jr., Melvin Carter, and Bennie Carter; one brother, Benny Liskey; two sister-in-laws, Alice Holik, and Mable Harris; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
