Guadalupe "Lupita" Rangel Obituary
Guadalupe “Lupita” Rangel was born on January 19, 1979, in Rosenberg, Texas, to Prospero and Maria Rangel. Born with cerebral palsy, Lupita’s life was a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit and the grace of God. She was lovingly and faithfully cared for by her devoted parents and her beloved sister, Martha Juarez.
Lupita’s life was marked not by limitation, but by divine purpose. Though she faced many physical challenges, her soul radiated a quiet joy that could only come from the Lord. Through her gentle spirit, she became a vessel of God’s love, teaching those around her what it truly means to serve, to love, and to believe. Her presence was a living reminder of Christ’s words: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
She was not just cherished—she was anointed with a sacred mission to soften hearts, to build faith, and to lead her family closer to Jesus. Lupita’s life drew others to the feet of Christ, not through eloquence or grand gestures, but through the simplicity of pure love.
Those left to honor her memory include her siblings:
• Evangelina and husband Tomas Gomez
• Gilberto and wife Jackie Rangel
• Martha and husband Noe Juarez
• Juan and wife Roxanne Rangel
• Sidronio and wife Inez Rangel
• Alexandro and wife Leah Rangel
• Sara and husband Thomas Salzer
Lupita also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who were blessed by her life and will forever carry her legacy in their hearts:
Juan, Jeanette, Tomas Jr., and Corina Gomez;
Sofia and Valeri Rangel;
Xavier, Hector, Veronica, and Victoria Juarez;
Juan Carlos, Aidan, and Olivia Rangel;
Morgan and Roy Sauseda, Sebastian and Liliana Rangel;
Alyssa and Alina Sauceda, and Noah Salzer.
Though Lupita’s time on Earth has ended, her eternal life has only just begun. She now rests in the presence of her Savior; free, whole, and filled with everlasting joy. Her life reminds us that God’s greatest works are often done in quiet, humble ways. In Lupita, we saw the face of Christ. Her spirit will continue to guide us, inspire us, and call us to a deeper faith. Our warmest thanks to her hospice nurse, Sandra Rodriguez, for the loving hands and compassionate heart that guided her last days.
A private ceremony will be held with immediate family as we entrust her to the care of our Lord. We are grateful for the space to grieve in sacred stillness and the comfort of your continued prayers.
