Geneva  (Farias) Sanchez

January 3, 1940 – April 13, 2023

Geneva (Farias) Sanchez, 83, of Bryan passed Thursday, April 13, 2023. Funeral Services are set for 2PM Friday, April 21 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Father Alberto Carbajal Madera will officiate and burial will follow in the Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Thursday, April 20 with a 6PM Rosary in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. 

Born January 3, 1940, in Karnes City, Texas she was the daughter of Ignacio and Sista (De La Rosa ) Farias. Geneva loved to cook, enjoyed spending time on social media, and listening to music, but most of all loved spending every moment she could with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Sista; and one great-grandchild, Miranda Perez.

Geneva leaves behind to cherish her memories, her three sons, Abel Sanchez, Rene Sanchez, and Juan Sanchez; three daughters, Yolanda Perez and husband Joe, Cynthia Perezs, and Sylvia Suarez and husband Ramon; a brother, Mede Farias; five sisters, Dominga Benevidas and husband Frank, Placida Farias, Beatrice Farias, Lydia Diaz and husband Juan, and Antonia Cruz and husband Felipe; she also leaves two sisters, Josie Figueroa, and Del Rodriguez; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends.
