     Gabriel Salazar, 62, of Bryan passed Thursday, September 30, 2021. Funeral Services are set for 11AM Tuesday, October 12 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Father Cesar Jaime Guzman Diaz will officiate and burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Monday, October 11 with a 6PM Rosary in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

     Born February 13, 1959 in Matamoros, Mexico he was the son of Gabriel Salazar Sr. and Lucia Ceballos. Gabriel loved music, singing, playing the guitar, and cooking. He also enjoyed cars and being a mechanic.

     His father Gabriel, and one sister, Joanna Salazar Perez precede him in death.

     Gabriel leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother Lucia Ceballos; loving wife of 45 years Herminia Lopez Salazar; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gabriel Salazar III and Roberto Salazar and Aurora; two daughters and son-in-laws, Yerania and Juan Carlos Salazar, and Lucia and Santiago Galvan; three brothers and their wives, Arnufo Salazar and Raquel, Gustavo Ceballos and Hilda, and Arthuro Serna; five sisters and their husbands, Irene and Jose Navarro, Linda Sustaita, Graciella and Dagoberto Rodriguez, Esperanza and Juan Carlos Garcia, and Martha and Sergio Izaguirre; he also leaves 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
