June 15, 1955 – May 12, 2023

Freddy Acarto, 67, of Bryan passed away Friday, May 12, 2023. A come and go visitation is set from 4-6 PM Thursday, May 18 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

Born June 15, 1955, in Crocket, Texas he was the son of Erasmo Gonzales and Martha Gaona. Freddy enjoyed socializing with family and friends, traveling, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

His parents, Erasmo and Martha; as well as his oldest son, Freddy Jr. precede him in death.

Freddy leaves behind to cherish his memories to his two sons, Alfredo “Peacock” Acarto and his wife Lorrie, and Eddie Acarto and his wife Alicia; he also leaves four daughters and their husbands, Flora and Jonathan Sustaita, Cathy and Michael Cordova, Veronica Acarto, and Querena and Martin Ybarra; the mother of his children, Dolores Morales, as well as three brothers, Joe Rodriguez, David Turrubiartez, and Jimbo Gaona, three sisters, Linda Silva, Angie Hernandez, and Sandra Ramirez; along with 27 grandchildren; and 10 precious great-grandchildren.
