Florence Delores Martin, 78, of Normangee, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 31, 2026. A Memorial Service is set for 2pm, Sunday, June 14th, at the Iola Worship Center. 

Born on February 26, 1948, in Bryan, Texas, Florence was the daughter of Claudia Lee (Martin) Messina. She was a fun-loving woman who, in her younger years, enjoyed dancing and listening to live music. A true Texan at heart, Florence never met a Dr Pepper she didn't like and was always happy to do a little "snooping" around town with her daughter. She loved garage sales, crossword puzzles, and the simple joy of finding a good bargain. More than anything, Florence loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Claudia and Joe Messina; her grandmother, Florence Martin; one niece, Michelle Bond; and a son-in-law, Bob Burke; as well as, her furbaby, Ruby.

Florence leaves behind to cherish her memories, her son, Timothy Homeyer and partner Selyna; daughter, Claudia and husband Bill Williamson; two brothers, Joseph Messina and James William Franklin Jr.; two sisters, Carolyn Lyons and Jolynn and husband “Spook” Vernon; five grandchildren, Lilly Homeyer, Seth Homeyer, Tyllie Homeyer, Bradley Harris and wife Emily, and, Justin Harris and wife Hayley; four beloved great grandchildren with one on the way; She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
