Emilio Torres Obituary

Emilio Torres, 73, of Bryan, entered into the arms of the Lord, Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Visitation will be Friday, March 27 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM.Funeral Services are set for 9AM Saturday, March 28 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Father Victor Mayorga will officiate and burial will follow at the Bryan City Cemetery.

Born August 8, 1952 in Villa Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Alberto Torres and Juana Rodriguez. He worked at Knife River Construction, dedicating over forty years. Emilio loved life to its very core. He found joy in being among nature in his garden, music, spending time with his numerous grandchildren, and took every chance he could to visit his hometown in Mexico. He was a member of Santa Teresa Church and was a devoted Catholic.  He found the love of his life, Lilia Torres (Jimenez), with whom he shared fifty years of fun, laughter, children, and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Juana Torres, brother, Esteban Torres, and great-granddaughter, Ariana Lopez.

Emilio leaves behind to keep his cherished memories; his loving wife, Lilia, sons; Robert Garcia and wife Brenda, Rickey Garcia and wife Stella, Alex Garcia and wife Hope, and Jarieth Menchaca and wife Lucia Becerra, daughters; Inez Garcia, and Mary Lou Constancio, brothers; Ralfael Torres and wife Maria Rivera, Mario Torres, and Jesus Torres, sisters; Carolina Torres, Esther Torres, Maria Torres, Catalina Torres, and Raquel Torres, 18 beloved grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 11 precious great great-grandchildren. He will forever be missed by all who knew him and never forgotten by those who love him.
