Dr. Harvey Riley Striegler Jr., 82, of Bryan, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Born December 8, 1941, in Houston, Texas, he was the son of Harvey Riley and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Striegler. Harvey loved fly fishing, reading and listening to books, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1964, Harvey served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He was an educator by career and retired as Associate Director of Admissions from Texas A&M University in 2000. He was also an active and longstanding member of the College Station Noon Lions Club. He was an avid and accomplished woodworker and an energetic member of the Arbor Oaks community for the last 11 years of his life.

Harvey is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Sue "Susie" and his parents, Harvey and Mary Elizabeth

He leaves behind to cherish his memories a son William “Bill” and his wife Elizabeth Striegler; a daughter Ann and her husband Brian Gwinnup; a brother Tom and his wife Jerry Striegler; 4 grandchildren Riley, Jackson, Samuel and Violet and the many friends and family whose lives he has blessed.

Harvey will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
