Dieter Klaus Brueckner of College Station, Texas, left us on March 27th, 2021, at the age of 77.
Dieter was born to Anna and Joseph Brueckner in Nürnberg, Germany in 1943.
He married his first wife Ingrid Erhard in
1969, and became widowed in 1997.
Dieter worked as a travel guide for a short time, but spent most of his career in the tire sales industry, eventually owning his own tire shop in Bamberg, Germany. The family emigrated to the United States in 1987, initially to New Jersey, then to Texas. Dieter was a skilled woodworker and ran his own home improvement business for many years.
Dieter married his second wife Wilma Hill in April of 2011. Dieter was a lifelong lover of animals, particularly horses and dogs. Throughout his life, Dieter cherished all things, German. He particularly enjoyed the food, the music, the festivals, and sitting around the Stammtisch with his friends on Tuesday nights at the Bavarian Brauhaus in Bryan. He and Wilma represented Germany at the Brazos Valley Worldfest for over a decade.
Dieter is survived by his loving wife Wilma, daughter Claudia and son Stefan, grandson Thomas, great-granddaughter Madeline, stepsons Thomas, Robert, and Peter, and stepdaughters Barbara and Mitzy.

Funeral Services will be held at Andrew's Episcopal Church in downtown Bryan at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 24th. A celebration of his life will be held at the Bavarian Brauhaus afterward
