Dianna Marie Watson Obituary

Dianna Marie Watson, 84, of Bryan, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 3, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Christ’s Way Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Kouns officiating. Burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. 


Born November 18, 1939, in Jacksonville, Texas, she was the youngest child of John Ervin Crain and Corinne (Ward) Crain. Dianna was an innovative woman who pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics and a teaching certificate, teaching not only HomeEc but also Kindergarten and other grades, eventually becoming a pastor’s wife when her husband committed to full-time ministry.  In her later years, she completed a 22-year career working at NASA Johnson Space Center for the shuttle program, specializing in Configuration Management. She retired to accompany her husband to Hong Kong for a 2-year ministry as interim pastor for the International Baptist Church of Hong Kong. She was a lovely, supportive, spirit-filled woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 


Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, John and Corinne, and her sister, Betty Carson.  


She leaves behind to cherish her memories her beloved husband of 63 years, Stiles Watson; a daughter, Carrie Watson Glider and husband, David; sons, Paul Michael Watson and wife, Lacie, and Stiles John Watson and wife, Jennifer; a brother, Terry Crain; as well as twelve grandchildren and one precious great-grandchild.
