David Contreras Jr. Obituary

David Contreras Jr, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, departed this world on August 24, 2025, at the age of 34. Born on June 9, 1991, in Bryan, Texas, David’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving behind an enduring legacy of laughter, kindness, and love. A Visitation is set for Saturday, August 30, from 11am to 1pm at Christ the Good Shepherd Chapel. A Celebration of life will begin at 1pm, also at Christ the Good Shepherd Chaple; burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.

Throughout his life, David thrived in the construction and remodeling business, founding "Reform Construction," a venture where he poured his heart and soul into every project. He took immense pride in his craft and was known for his unwavering support of veterans and seniors, always ready to lend a helping hand when they sought his expertise. His commitment to service extended beyond his profession as he championed gratitude and appreciation in all aspects of life.

A testament to his sharp intellect, David was a diligent student, culminating in an associate degree in business administration after excelling in high school. His quick wit and penchant for humor resonated through his countless sayings—whether it was his playful “I’m tiiiired,” or “Baaarely.” He was the type of person who brought joy to even the simplest moments, always donning a goofy smile and a heart that seemed to embrace the entire world.

David’s passion for baseball was evident from a young age; he could often be found practicing pitches with his brother or running bases. His proudest milestone came in 2008, when his little league team made it all the way to the Little League World Series in Maine; a moment he cherished deeply and spoke of with great pride throughout his life.

Spontaneity and adventure were hallmarks of David's character. He was an outgoing soul, someone who recognized the importance of fostering connections and creating lasting memories. From watching the Astros and the Dallas Cowboys with his boys to riding horses and creating TikTok videos with his daughter, David approached life with enthusiasm and an adventurous spirit. His dedication as a cheer dad, coaching his nephews in baseball, and nurturing their growth into good young men reflected the depth of his love for family.

David’s deep-rooted faith was a guiding light in his life; he never wavered in his belief in God. He found solace in reading the Bible and devoted himself to daily prayer, a commitment that brought him peace and strength. His faith was intertwined with everything he did, grounding him and shaping his interactions with others.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosie Contreras, and their three cherished children: John, Matthew, and Addilynn Contreras. David’s loving parents, David and Ofelia Contreras, siblings Daniel (Melissa), Stephanie, and Victoria Colford (Prestin), along with his adored nephews Zaiden, Miles, and Austin, will forever hold his memory close. He was also fondly accompanied in life by his loyal pet, Dixie.

David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alejandro and Catalina Contreras, Gonzalo and Susana Garcia, cousin Javier Solis, and beloved tias Araceli Garcia, Blanca Reyes, Ramona Contreras, and Juana Contreras, as well as his cherished pets Sage and Apollo Contreras. David's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

David Contreras will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a beacon of joy, and a person who brought unconditional love and laughter to his family and friends. His legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward."
