Daniel Balluch Obituary

Daniel Nicholas “Mog” Balluch was born December 6th, 1938 (St. Nicholas’ birthday) in Farrell, Pennsylvania, and passed peacefully at home in Rockdale, Texas on Christmas Day, 2020.

He was a sociable and kindhearted man who loved his daughter, Danielle and her husband Devin Adams, as well as his constant companion and “love of his life,” his dog Daisy.

Daniel is preceded in death by his father George Balluch Sr., his mother Mary Kiryan Balluch, his brother George Balluch Jr., and two nephews, George Balluch III and Tim Balluch Jr. Along with his daughter Danielle, he is survived by three loving siblings and brother George’s wife, Faye Balluch and their three children (Pam, Diane, and Chris), sister Patricia and husband Roland Bator and their five children (Carol, Jim, goddaughter Awshee, Dave, and Sue), sister Bea DiCiancio and her four children (Dennis Jr., Nina, Melanie, and Sean), brother Tim and wife Carol Balluch and their three children (Sam, Jennifer, and Andrea).

A special thanks to his long time friends Emilia Draper and Larry Gilbreath, and to Gladys Whittaker for helping take care of him in the last weeks of his life. A private memorial will be held in Pennsylvania to celebrate Dan’s life.
