Cornelius DeShawn Garrett, 38, of Madisonville, Texas went into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Bedias at 3pm.

Born September 10, 1985, in Huntsville, Texas, he was the son of Mr. Preston Henry and Ms. Glenn Anita Garrett. Cornelius enjoyed playing dominos and fishing. Above all, he was a family man, who was affectionately called “Uncle Bookie” by all children who met him.

Cornelius is preceded in death by his father Preston Henry; maternal grandmother Ms. Lillie Mae Garrett; and one half-brother, Tyrenzo Henry.

He leaves behind to cherish memories, his loving mother Glenn Anita Garrett; three sons, Aderius, Tyrenzo, and, Kian Garrett; two brothers, Quincy and Tyrone Garrett; sister, Tonti Garrett; two half brothers, Zachery Henry and Terrance Scott; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and, friends.
