Christopher Cruz, 26, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. A Visitation is set for Thursday, July 9, from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 6pm all in the chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services are set for 12pm Friday, July 10, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church; burial will follow at College Station City Cemetery. 

Born July 31, 1999 in Bryan, TX to Ernesto Cruz and Anna Tierrafria. Christopher enjoyed his work in construction and took pride in a job well done. He worked hard, but also had a creative soul. He enjoyed listening to music, especially "El más poderoso" by Hermanos Espinoza, working on and fixing up his truck, and drawing. He showed his outdoorsman side by loving to go fishing and canoeing. He showed his love and pride for his heritage and hometown by displaying his Mexican and American flags. In his downtime, he enjoyed watching movies along with his favorites, Iron Giant, and Black Dog Loved Texas.

Christopher was an excellent husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and an excellent father. He loved his wife Lupita deeply and spoiled her in every way; his mission was to make her happy. Christopher was one of a kind, and there was no one like him. He looked forward with great anticipation to the birth of his son, Christopher Jr., and truly enjoyed planning which items his baby would need.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Miguel, Grandfather, Miguel, and Grandmother, Elena Robles.

Christopher leaves behind to cherish and pass on his memories to his parents; Ernesto and Anna, wife; Maria Guadalupe Palacios Nunez, sons; Jesus Modesto Palacios Nunez, and expecting Christopher Jesus Cruz Palacios, brother; Miguel Cruz, and sister; Ivanna Cruz. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Sara Núñez, and his brother-in-law, Jesús Palacios Nunez, whom he loved dearly. He cherished their family time together, especially their weekend outings to eat at restaurants. He loved intently and earnestly. He will forever be remembered and loved through his friends, family, and his children who will grow up learning about the wonderful man he was.

 

 

 

 

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, husband, father, and friend, Christopher Alexis Cruz, passed away on June 24, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the impact he made will remain in our hearts forever. A Visitation is set for Thursday July 9 from 5-8PM with the Rosary at 6PM during that time in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home in Bryan, TX. A funeral service will be held Friday July 10 at 12PM, meeting at Trevino-Smith Funeral home to procession to Santa Teresa Catholic Church. A burial will take place directly after at College Station City Cemetery. 

Christopher was born on July 31, 1999, in Bryan, Texas, to Ernesto Cruz and Anna Tierrafria. As the oldest of four siblings, followed by Ernest Alexander Cruz, Miguel Anthony Cruz, and Ivanna Cruz, he naturally became the leader of the family. To his younger siblings, he was more than just a brother—he was their hero, protector, mentor, and best friend. He was the one who led the way, watched over them, and showed them what strength, resilience, and unconditional love looked like. 

We are forever grateful for the years we were blessed to share with Christopher and heartbroken that those years ended far too soon. Although his life was cut short, his love, his lessons, and the memories he created will stay with us for the rest of our lives. 

Born and raised in Bryan, Texas, Christopher was proud to call this community home. He graduated from Rudder High School in 2018 and soon after began working for Penske, where he earned his Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Through determination, hard work, and an unmatched work ethic, he built a career he was proud of, working for Boyd Ready Mix, Star Pumping, and ultimately finding his career with Evolution Pumping. 

Christopher was never afraid of hard work. Long days, early mornings, and late nights never discouraged him. Even when exhausted, he continued to give everything he had for the people he loved. One of his favorite quotes, from the television series Landman, perfectly reflected his mindset: 

"We don't do it because we like it. We do it because we run out of options." 

That quote wasn't just something he repeated—it was how he lived. He believed in showing up, pushing through, and providing for his family no matter how difficult life became. As Bryan and College Station continued to grow, Christopher took pride in knowing that his work helped build the community he loved. 

Although Christopher was proud to be a Texan, he was equally proud of his Hispanic heritage. With family roots in Veracruz and Aguascalientes, Mexico, he embraced his culture wholeheartedly. He loved its history, traditions, food, and especially its music. Long days on the job were often accompanied by artists such as Los Dos de Tamaulipas, Hermanos Espinoza, Los Hermanos Rodríguez, and Luis R. Conriquez. Songs like "La Marca," "Jackpot," and "El Más Poderoso" kept him motivated through countless hours of hard work. 

Although Christopher's story was tragically cut short, the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind will continue through those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Ernesto Cruz and Anna Tierrafria; his siblings, Ernest Alexander Cruz, Miguel Anthony Cruz, and Ivanna Cruz; his beloved wife, Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Palacios Núñez; and his cherished son, Jesus Modesto Palacios. 

As the oldest son, Christopher carried his mother's hopes and dreams while growing into a man she could always be proud of. As the oldest brother, he took the bumps in the road so his younger siblings wouldn't have to. He protected them in ways many people never saw. He faced the first challenges, made the first mistakes, and carried responsibilities long before anyone expected him to. Without ever asking for recognition, he became the example they would always follow. 

As a husband, Christopher loved Lupita with all his heart and worked every day to make her smile. As a father, he loved his son deeply, and that love will forever remain a part of who Jesus becomes. Christopher found genuine happiness in making others happy. He gave his time, his strength, and his heart freely, never expecting anything in return. 

Christopher never had the opportunity to finish writing his own story, but the chapters he gave us will never be forgotten. He taught us what it means to work hard, to love deeply, and to put family above everything else. His life reminds us that true strength is found not only in what a man accomplishes, but in the lives he touches and the love he leaves behind. 

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his memory will continue to live on through every lesson he taught, every laugh he shared, and every person fortunate enough to have known him. 

May his soul find eternal peace, and may God grant comfort, strength, and grace to all who mourn his passing.
