Christopher Paul Bunch Senior was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on October 14, 1980. He entered eternal peace, with his kids at his side, on September 30, 2025 in Bryan, Texas.

Chris was the son of Paul and Carol Bunch. He resided in the Brazos Valley for the majority of his life. He married his high school sweetheart, Merilyn. Out of their union came four beautiful children. Though they did not remain married, they continued to care about one another and cherish each other’s place in their lives.  

Chris dealt with his share of struggles over the last several years, but they did not define him. He was so much more than that. He was a man with a big heart and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and performing manual labor. Any job he had usually involved being outside or working with his hands. He was proud of the three years he spent in Afghanistan with KBR Solutions and Fluor Corporation. In recent years, he made his living as a general contractor, owning and operating CP Services. But to him, his greatest accomplishments and pride in his life were his children Christopher, Delaney, Avery and Caden.

Chris is preceded in death by his father Paul Bunch and his son Christopher Paul Bunch, Junior.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by his three children Delaney, Avery, and Caden; the mother of his children Merilyn Bunch; his two sisters, Laurie Salazar and husband Gary, Kathy Hunter; nieces and nephews, Kali Erman and husband JP, Falon Salazar, Kayla Poncet, Addison Lopez, and Jaxon Lopez.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Headstrong Project, as Chris had a great appreciation for veterans.
