Charlie Guerrero, 42, of Bryan passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.  A Visitation is set for Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home.

Born September 15, 1981, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, he was the son of Jose Guerrero and Daria Rodriguez.

Charlie's greatest passions in life were fishing, hunting, and perfecting his brisket recipe. He loved to spend time with family especially during holidays and birthdays, and was always relied on to make the best fajita, carne asada, tablitas y mas. His daily calls and messages about "what's for dinner, what are you cooking, and can you make me tortillas?" to his mom, sister, and wife will be missed. Often called the luckiest man in the world by his friends, Charlie enjoyed traveling to casinos and betting on his favorite football team the Texans, though most of his winning bets were on that other team up the road. Quick to smile and quicker to laugh, Charlie loved joking around all the time, bringing joy to so many people each day. Charlie was the most wonderful son, brother, husband and friend. He would want us all to remember the great times we had with him, take care of each other, and enjoy life to the fullest every day in his remembrance. Oh, and don't forget - don't work to live, work to fish!

Charlie is preceded in death by his father, Jose Guerrero; brother Queruño Guerrero; grandmothers, Luciana Santibañez & Praxedis Ramirez; and many aunts and uncles.

He leaves behind his memories, his loving wife Jessica Beck-Guerrero; mother Daria Rodriguez; and sister Lupe Guerrero. Although he did not get the chance to have children, he very much loved his two nieces, Myrka Alexis Arriola and Miah Amarie Arriola; two nephews, Miguel Angel Arriola and Marco Antonio Arriola; great nephews, Michael Arriola and Miles Arriola as his own.

Charlie will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
