Charles Wayne Jeske

September 27, 1951 – February 2, 2021

 

Charles Wayne Jeske, 69, of Franklin, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, from Congestive Heart Failure.  A Celebration of Life service will be held on, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Worship Center in Franklin, Texas.

Charles was born September 27, 1951 in Mart, TX, to Raymond Howard Jeske and Mary Louise Reichardt Jeske.  Raised in Riesel, TX where he lived until moving to Waco, TX, in 1971.  In 1974 he moved to the Robertson County area where he went to work for GATX as a welder.   In 1992 he went to work for Pitt De Moines as a professional welder building oil storage tanks all around the United States.  He retired in 1996 and started his own hay business. In 2000 he went to work for Springhill Exotic Game Ranch where he welded cages and fences for the exotic animals.  He would also haul the lions and tigers and other exotic animals around the United States.  He would take his wife and copilot, Linda along for the adventures.

His passions included hunting and fishing along with spending time with the kids and grandkids. He loved being able to pass on his knowledge of the sports to anyone that was interested especially his next generations.  He and his wife Linda loved spending time together fishing couples tournaments with C.A.S.T. - Couples Association of Sports Tournaments around Texas.  His other passion included becoming a member of the Patrick Lodge #359 in Franklin, TX on October 24, 2006. He loved spending time with his brothers there and with others he met around the state.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda, Children: Jennifer Kluck and husband Kevin of Riesel, TX, Scott Jeske and wife Karen of New Baden, TX, Douglas Jeske and wife Janet of Sonora, CA, Kerri Johnston of College Station, TX, Dustin Carpenter of Waco, TX, Charlie Johnston and wife Ashley of College Station, TX, and Karl McCarver and wife Riki of Franklin, TX.  Grandchildren: Donny Lane of Kemp, TX, Sarah Kluck of Fulton, TX, Lane Kluck of Riesel, TX, Taylor Wilks of Modesto, CA, Brian James of Sonora, CA, Alexis Williams of Franklin, TX, Ashton Jeske, of New Baden, TX, Chase Richardson of College Station, TX, Ashley McDaniels of Richmond, VA, Kimberley McDaniels of New Baden, TX, Alyssa Jeske of New Baden, TX, Braylin Jones of College Station, TX, Kyle McCarver of Franklin, TX, Colten Johnston of Fairfield, TX, Aiden Williams of Franklin, TX, and Carlee Johnston of Fairfield, TX.  Great grandsons: Daegyn Kluck of Riesel, TX, and Declan Lane of Kemp, TX.  Other survivors include his mother Mary Dunn of Riesel, TX and sisters Sharon McCarver, Tami Nehring and husband Steve of Riesel, TX, sister-in-law’s Donna Fitch and husband Lawrence of Bedford, TX, Nancy Edmondson of Lorena, TX, Ronda Lane of Lorena, TX and father-in-law Donald Lane along with numerous nieces and nephews and others that were special to him that he claimed as part of his family.

Charles is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Jeske, mother-in-law, Nola Lane, son William Lane of Riesel, TX, and grandson Eric James of Sonora, CA.
