Charles Manford Blackmon, 88, of Hearne passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. No formal services are planned at this time.
Charles was born in Many, Louisiana on June 12, 1936. He was a people person who never met a stranger. Charles was a professional carpenter who was very skilled at his craft and could make anything out of wood. He loved taking family and friends out to eat barbeque and cherished the time he spent with them; he was truly loved by everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Jimmie Blackmon; a stepdaughter, Toni Bell; and two stepsons, Beau and Jimmie Bell.
Charles leaves behind to cherish his memories, three sons, Jojo, Tony, and, Rex Blackmon; six stepsons, David, Kenneth, Robert, Albus, Charles, and, Joseph Bell; one stepdaughter, Melinda Purtle; his caretaker and niece, Loretta Schnur; as well as, numerous, nieces, nephews, and, friends.
Charles's legacy and memory will live on through his children and amazing craftsmanship.
