Celia Muniz Chapa Obituary

Celia Muniz Chapa

September 5, 1925 ~ January 11, 2023

Celia was born in San Benito, TX. Her parents are Epifanio and Guadalupe Muniz.  She married Maximo Chapa. They were happily married for 65 years. Celia lived most of her young life in Harlingen, TX where she worked as a nurse for many years. They later moved to Austin, TX. She was best known for her great cooking and delicious pies. Celia also had a green thumb. Their home was always surrounded by colorful flowers and greenery. She adored her children Norma Cantu and Max Chapa, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Celia and Max loved to travel the country in their travel trailer, stopping at state parks and gathering with friends. She never met a stranger. Celia was so loved by all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
