Catarino Galván García, de 70 años, residente de Bryan, Texas, falleció el sábado 11 de octubre de 2025, rodeado de sus seres queridos. El velatorio está programado de 5PM a 8PM , con un rosario a las 6PM en la Funeraria Treviño-Smith el miércoles 15 de octubre. La misa está programada para las 11:00AM  en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Teresa el jueves 16 de octubre, y el entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de la Ciudad de Bryan.

 

Nacido el 9 de marzo de 1955 en Cañada Grande, Rioverde, S.L.P., México, fue hijo de Proceso Galván Lara y Romana García de Galván. Los momentos más preciados de Catarino fueron aquellos en compañía de su familia. Sus hijos y nietos fueron el amor de su vida; fue un padre y abuelo muy dedicado. Su amor y bondad no se detuvieron allí. Catarino tenía un gran corazón y le encantaba ayudar a los demás. Un día relajante para Catarino incluía asar a la parrilla, escuchar música, jugar a los dados o a las cartas.

 

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Proceso y Romana García de Galván; su esposa, Virginia Torres de Galván, con quien compartió 45 maravillosos años; sus hermanos, Gaudencio Galván García, Heraclio Galván García y Avelino Galván García.

 

Catarino deja, para atesorar su memoria, cuatro hijos y una hija: Saúl Galván, Noé Galván, Israel Galván, Froilán Galván e Imelda Galván; diez nietos y una bisnieta. Siempre será recordado con cariño.

 

 

 

 

Catarino Galvan Garcia, 70, of Bryan, TX, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, surrounded by those he loved most. Visitation is set from 5PM – 8PM with a 6PM rosary at Trevino-Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15th. A mass set for 11AM at Santa Teresa Catholic Church on Thursday, October 16th with the burial to follow at Bryan City Cemetery.

 

Born March 09, 1955 in Canada Grande, Rioverde, S.L.P, Mexico, he was the son of Proceso Galvan Lara and Romana Garcia de Galvan. Catarino’s most cherished moments in life were when he was in the presence of his family. His children and grandchildren were the love of his life; he was a very devoted father and grandfather.  His love and kindness did not stop there Catarino had a big heart and loved to help others. A relaxing day for Catarino included grilling, listening to music, playing dice or cards.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Proceso and Romana Garcia de Galvan; and his wife Virginia Torres de Galvan, whom he shared 45 wonderful years with, his brothers; Gaudencio Galvan Garcia, Heraclio Galvan Garcia, and Avelino Galvan Garcia.

 

Catarino leaves behind to cherish his memories, 4 sons and 1 daughter; Saul Galvan, Noe Galvan, Isreal Galvan, Froilan Galvan and Imelda Galvan; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.  He will forever be remembered by everyone with love.
