Asencion (Chon) Alvarado Sr.

Asencion (Chon) Alvarado Sr., 62 of College Station went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021 after battling a fight with illness.
Born October 1, 1958 in Somerville, Texas, he was the son of Guadalupe and Aurelia (Serna) Alvarado. Asencion was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed family gatherings. He was a father figure to his siblings and truly adored his grandchildren. It was said that he was the life of the party always listening to music and dancing. He was a certified welder/machinist and dabbled in mechanic work. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was known to be a jokester and kept everyone smiling.
He is preceded in death by his parents (Guadalupe and Aurelia Alvarado), 2 brothers (Lupe and Joel Alvarado), and 3 sisters (Sylvia Alvarado, Lucy Alvarado, and Gloria Zamora).
Asencion leaves behind to cherish his memories, his significant other, Eloisa Espinosa; one son, Asencion Alvarado Jr. and wife Jennifer; four daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Saul Perez, Sandra and Edgar Rodriguez, Rita Alvarado, and Anna and Alexander Cantu; six brothers and their wives, Frank and Ninfa Alvarado, Richard and Susie Alvarado, Adam and Sandra Alvarado, Antonio and Stella Alvarado, Daniel Alvarado, and Juan Alvarado; three sisters and their husbands, Mary Helen and Conception Luna, Christina and David Perez, and Rachael Martinez; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation is set for Friday, February 19 from 6pm-8pm and Funeral Services are set for Saturday February 20 at 10am in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home in Bryan, Texas.
