Albert "Al" Jolly Obituary

Al Jolly, beloved servant of God, minister, family man, mentor and friend to all, passed peacefully from this earth into the gates of Heaven on Monday, May 5, 2025. He is survived, and will be missed greatly,  by his wife Mary, two daughters Cindy and Kathy, grand-and great grandchildren, and a host of friends too numerous to count but who were all important to him.

Everyone who had the privilege of meeting him would come away encouraged, laughing or amazed at his Biblical knowledge and wisdom. Always by his side was his wife of 76 years who was his perfect helpmate as “the preacher”s wife.” As a “twenty-something,” beginning his life of ministry, he never hesitated to bring home, unannounced and always at mealtime, whomever it was he had been counseling or to whom he had been teaching an in home Bible study. As the ultimate hostess she learned to serve whatever “loaves and fishes” were in the kitchen, always with a smile and never a doubt that it would suffice. The fact that his life story cannot be told without the mention of her is a testament to their enduring love.

He preached the Word in many states and countries over his decades ministry, and the seeds planted during his lifetime continue to produce fruit for God’s kingdom.  As his family, we are blessed to see his impact on others from the outpouring of messages and kindnesses that have been heaped upon us during this difficult time. As he blessed you, you are blessing us.

A private family celebration will be held at a later time.  Memorial donations in his name can be sent to A & M Church of Christ, Missions Program, P.  O. Box 9063, College Station, Texas 77842.
