       Shirley Ann Cowger, 71, of Marquez, TX passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018. Funeral Services are set for 1PM Saturday, December 15 in the First Baptist Church of Flynn with burial to follow in the Evans Chapel Cemetery in Flynn. Visitation will be from 6-8PM Friday December 14 also at the Church.

       Born December 31, 1946 in Houston she was the daughter of Brandt Powers and Edith Pauline (Black) McCrory. Shirley enjoyed cooking; she was a caring person who loved her Church. She was always willing to give a helping hand and always volunteering. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

       She was preceded in death by her parents.

       Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories, a son, Duke Burgay; a daughter, Crystal Lewis; a brother, Raymond McCrory; two sisters, Kay Middleton and husband Preston, and Peggy Murry and husband Billy; four grandchildren, Destiny Burgay, Taylor Burgay, Kevin Burgay, and Brandt Lewis; two great grandchildren, Devin Moore, and Mckenzie Wilson; and numerous family members and a host of friends.
