Marjorie Georgia Leinhart

July 9, 1925 – December 27, 2018

       Marjorie Georgia Leinhart died on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Crestview Retirement Community in Bryan. A Memorial Service will be held for her at A&M United Methodist Church on Friday, January 4 at 2PM. A graveside Service will be held at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston Wednesday, January 2.

       Born in Gainesville, Georgia, in 1925, she spent most of her life in the Bryan/College Station area. She worked for Texas A&M in various departments for 34 years, retired in 1987 from the College of Geosciences. She is survived by her 3 sons, Gary, Barry, and Marcus (wife Shawn), in addition to her 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Don Leinhart, and her daughter, Meriwyn Shivers.

       Marj continued working after her retirement by volunteering at A&M United Methodist Church, the Sunshine Ladies at College Station Medical Center, and the George Bush Library.
