John Robert Gudelman Jr.

John Robert Gudelman Jr., 70, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, at his home with his loving sons at his bedside. John was born May 30, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents John R. Gudelman Sr. and Jacqueline Logsdon Gudelman. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Gudelman and wife Shea York, Erik Gudelman and fiancee Laura Juarez and his three grandchildren: Zachary, Haden and Elyssa. John was the eldest of 7 siblings and is also survived by his six siblings: Paul Gudelman and wife Jae; Gretchen Zamora and husband Jesse; Susan Sanders; Heidi Gudelman and her life partner Joanie Gibbs; Mark Gudelman and wife Tracy, Lisa Gudelman Lowrance and husband Jody, as well as, 22 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nieces and nephews. John graduated from Servite High School in Anaheim, CA. John started working and began his quest to quench his thirst for higher education at Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, a Master’s Degree in Poultry Science and was close to finishing his PhD in Zoology. John also worked for Texas A&M as a recruiter in the Placement Office. He taught at Blinn College and Navarro College. For those of you who knew John, you spent a lot of time talking with him. You knew he loved to BBQ, have a beer or two, joke around and laughed a lot. He could carry a conversation with anybody about anything. He loved his simple life at his home with Big Dog. He spent many days sitting outside at his picnic table watching the weather patterns and listening to the sounds of nature. He occupied his days doing what he loved to do.
