December 13, 1957 – November 4, 2018

       Gary Robert Freeman, 60, of Iola passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. A Memorial Service and interment of cremains will be held at 2PM Saturday, November 10 at the Aggie Field of Honor in College Station.

       Born December 13, 1957 in Stephenville, Texas he was the son of Calvin Robert and Elizabeth (Williams) Freeman. Gardening, hunting and fishing were among his favorite past times, as well as the time he spent with his grandparents as a boy on the family farm. Gary liked listening to classic rock and was a tinkerer and craftsman of wood carvings as well as handcrafted walking sticks.  He enjoyed collecting old antique signs, beer steins as well as old family photos. He was an avid reader and had an expressionate face as you could always tell what he was thinking. Last but certainly not least he loved his forty year old ponytail which he called his statement piece.

       His mother and grandparents precede him in death.

       Gary leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving father; two sisters, Cheryl Daun Freeman and Albert Garcia; and Amy Hutto and husband John; nieces, Kati and husband Braden Orso, as well as Megan and Molly Hutto; and numerous cousins and a host of friends.
