        Estanatda (Connie) B. Mendez, 69, of Bryan passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. Funeral Services are set for 10AM Saturday, October 13 in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Monsignor John McCaffrey will officiate and burial will follow in the Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Friday October 12 with a 6:30PM Rosary in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

       Born May 7, 1949 in Maysfield, Texas she was the daughter of Jose and Anita (Ayala) Vasquez Sr. Connie enjoyed fishing, coloring, sewing and crossword puzzles. She also loved to cook and spend time with her family and grandchildren.

       She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Joe Vasquez Jr., and John Vasquez.

       Connie leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 52 years, Benito R. Mendez Sr.; two sons, Roy Mendez, and Benito Mendez Jr. and wife Sabrina; two daughters, Kathy Gomez, and Delorie Arredondo and husband Guadalupe; five sisters, Eleanor Contreras, Lydia Ramos, Vicky Vasquez, Mary Ramirez, and Estella Gomez and husband Richard; seventeen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
